A little help with Daybud.
Daybud is coming to the App Store. For pre-release questions, or help with the app once it ships, email Tech Local.
A timer is still running
Choose the correct child in Daybud and use Stop on the running entry. Dismissing a Live Activity does not stop the saved timer. Apple limits Live Activities to eight active hours; a longer sleep continues in the app and Watch.
Our phones show different updates
Check the selected family and child, accepted sharing invitation, iCloud account, connection and sync status on each phone. Also check the storage owner’s available iCloud space. Apple synchronization can take time; avoid adding a second entry just to chase an update.
A Watch action is pending
Keep Daybud installed on the paired iPhone and open it when connected. Watch actions remain saved locally until the phone acknowledges persistence. If access to the original family changed, keep the action for recovery instead of logging it against a different child.
Siri or conversation is unavailable
Use the supported Daybud shortcuts and name the child when needed. Some actions must open Apple’s sharing, permission or unlocked app interface. The newest Siri AI varies by device, language, region and Apple availability.
Optional in-app conversation needs a compatible Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone, a ready model and supported language. Logging and calculated history cards still work without it. Estimates need enough recorded history to show a pattern.
Exports, access and purchases
Use Family and settings to export a child’s CSV or a family file, and keep a local copy before leaving a shared family. Existing downloaded copies are not remotely erasable.
An invitation shares baby data. App purchase sharing is separate: each caregiver needs an app entitlement, including an eligible Apple Family Sharing purchase. Daybud is planned as a US$0.99 one-time purchase with Apple’s regional equivalents, all app functionality included and no app subscription.
What to include in a support email
A short description and these details help us investigate:
- Daybud version, if available, and iOS/watchOS versions
- What you expected and what happened
- The displayed error or sync status
- The approximate time and timezone; whether the issue affects iPhone, Watch or both
