Contract platform recovery

Creative Law Foundry

Recovering a stalled platform and the business behind it

After a year of development without a working platform, we recovered Foundry’s code and connected the systems behind its contract and training service.

The need

Paige Hulse had invested money and a year of work with previous developers, but still did not have a functioning platform to show for it. She was concerned about whether the investment could be recovered and the business could move forward. The problem extended beyond unfinished screens: the code needed to be recovered, faults resolved and several separate providers connected into a working customer journey. Customers needed to sign up, purchase contracts, customise their documents and access training, while existing buyers needed to retain the contracts they already owned.

What Tech Local built

Tech Local helped recover the code and worked across the inherited application and its supporting platforms to make the service function as a whole. We repaired the customer flows and connected payment, account access and contract entitlements, including SamCart purchase onboarding. We worked on the contract library and builder, business and client profiles, saved drafts and training resources. Alongside these repairs, we supported the migration from the earlier service, accounting for existing purchases and the different ways customers would enter the new platform.

Important workflows

Connect purchase to access

SamCart onboarding links the commercial journey to a member account and the contract library.

Make drafting manageable

Business and client profiles, guided questions and saved drafts structure the work of customising an agreement.

Bring the service together

Contract resources and training sit within the member experience, with migration work accounting for previously purchased agreements.

Implementation

  • SamCart onboarding
  • Contract builder
  • Saved drafts
  • Migration support

Practical value

Foundry moved from a stalled development project to a working service where clients can sign up, buy and customise contracts, and access training. Recovering and repairing the existing code preserved the work that could be used, while connecting the providers turned separate parts into a coherent customer experience.
